In Symbolism (Part of the series Spirit in Motion)

Inspired by the diamond-and-cross form of the Bakongo Cosmogram, a spiritual diagram from Kongo cosmology representing the cyclical relationship between life, death, the ancestral realm, and rebirth, the work explores ancestral presence, cyclical time, and spiritual connection. Repeated shapes shift in scale like stars in the night sky, drawing inspiration from Arester Earl’s Dream Quilt. The work reflects dreams as spaces where memory, ancestry, and reunion converge.
